The push back is never what you think it is, really.
As a guy, I push back so the relationship gets back to that relaxed point because I don’t want to distress a girl by not reciprocating what she’s feeling at the same intensity.

This way, she gets a subtle message and she re-assesses.

guys love any reason to “push back” (which btw i LOVE that phrase!) – in my case the times i really did push back were the times when dudes were bringing up marriage and i just wasn’t ready. but over a toothbrush? thank gawd that guy took off, that’s some nonsense. can’t imagine what the future would’ve brought with that one lol
