Apple is causing quite a stir.

I normally wouldn’t care about an issue like Apple lowering it’s price for the 8 gig iPhone to $399, but since I just bought the 4 gig for the same price just a little over a week ago, I do.

My luck usually sucks, but this one time Lady Luck had my back. So after talking to one of the Apple reps earlier, my beloved iPhone is getting sent back to Apple to be replaced with an 8 gig. Some others… not so lucky.

And since I am talking about Apple, what’s up with the new iPod Touch only coming in 8 or 16 gig? Might as well just buy the phone.

Hmmm… yeah, I see your point.
Might as well get the iPhone.
It’s so neat though isn’t it?
And I’m so glad the price went down on that iPhone cause my husband wants it!
    =)

iPod nano sucks though. I don’t like how it looks now.

It is neat, and I’m sure there are a lot of people who wanted the functionality of an iPhone without the actual phone. So, they should be happy. Me, personally I need at least 60 gig, but I like for my mp3 player to be able to hold all of my music.

Your husband should definitely get the iPhone. He’ll love it.

The nano does look a little funny. It almost looks overweight to me now, if that makes any sense, lol.

thats exactly why the iphone was never of interest to me. i have a 30gb ipod thats running over, so 4-8gb ain’t cutting it, and same goes for the new touch. i’m not gonna pay all that money for a neutered iphone with a slightly bigger harddrive.

something tells me there s gonna be a lot of backlash about this 200$ price drop, because EVERYONE that i know with the iphone went apeshit when they heard about the drop. apple trick you guys again.

I didn’t buy the iPhone to be my primary mp3 player, so the amount of space didn’t bother me (I only had 1gb on my Slvr and that was fine). But since the iPod Touch is an mp3 player, 16gb is just waaaay to small of an amount of space.

If you check out different iPhone blogs the people are already going crazy. They said they’re calling and complaining, writing letters, demanding cashback. Everyone is PO’d. It’s insane, lol.

I think some people may just not want to go with Cingular but they want an iphone type thing? I guess it’s their way of reaching all the markets.

I knew the iphones would drop in pricing like every other phone but not this quick! Hey out of curiosity what are their rate plans like for iphone?

    I guess you’re right Cin.

If you look at the website, the plans for the iPhone start at $59.99, but the text messaging included is a slim 200. You can upgrade to 1500 for $10 more, or unlimited for $20 more.

You can see the plans here.

Angel, I don’t know if you heard, but Apple is offering $100 gift cards to everyone who purchased an iPhone that is not eligible for the $200 refund.

You can read Steve Jobs letter here.

I’m really not a fan of cellphones so I was patiently hoping for an iPhone minus the phone. Woohoo.

@Saha – I actually love my iPhone. I haven’t had any problems with making calls, and my reception has even gotten so much better than I can use it at my house now, (I stay in the middle of nowhere) when before I couldn’t even answer long enough to say “call me at the house”, lol. The poor house phone doesn’t get any play anymore, lol.
