Okay, so maybe I don’t suck at life, but I do suck at this blog.

I managed to go the whole months of March & April without updating this, and for that I apologize. It makes me wonder how people manage to have jobs and blog at the same time, cause when I come home from work all I want to do is fall out on the couch and watch Friends reruns. Looking at the computer all day at work, and then coming home and looking at it some more just doesn’t appeal to me all that much… and my computer used to pretty much be my life. Sad times, sad times.

But life is good. Work is good. ATL is good.

I wasn’t sure how the transition into the “real world” was going to be, but it hasn’t been bad at all. Plus the fact that I can work from couch makes it even lovelier… and the money don’t hurt either.

I’m loving ATL too, but that’s no surprise. I’ve always enjoyed Atlanta and the abundance of things to do here. Plus the fact that the clubs here are actually clubs is a refreshing change as opposed to frat parties being held in Chili’s or at some Chinese buffet… yeah. I’m glad to finally be able to leave the life of a college student behind.

While this may not be the most interesting update, I believe it serves it’s purpose of letting you know that I am in fact not dead well. Besides, I’ve been promised that some entertainment will be going on in the comments section of this entry…

So, let the entertainment begin.

I would think my eyes are playing tricks on me and that some bot was now writing on this site if all the crazy sounding english didn’t make it obvious that the real life VF has graced us with her words. Reading your entry you have raised a lot of interesting questions in my head.

I wonder what kind of awesome job you have where you get to just look at a computer all day? I mean for my job I have to actually do stuff on the computer, I don’t just get to look at it. Then you have to wonder if you get the option to look at other things all day and you chose the computer. Why not look at the Xerox or fax machine? You would think more activity would be happening there than on a computer that no one is using.

The problem I can see in that though is you would always expect something cool to come out of the fax. Expectations get built too high and because of those expectations you can easily be let down. With the computer you don’t even have to turn it on. You can just stare at the dead monitor with no expectations being built because there is a guarantee that nothing will happen.

Through this analysis I see that choosing the “stare at computer” option was definitely the right choice. Wise move girl.

The next question that comes to mind is how you were able to obtain a new category of dead. As you can see you wrote:

“…I am in fact not dead well.”

That is awesome. Most people just say they aren’t dead, but you realize that there is no reason you have to stick with the norm and you are not dead well. Everyone gets their steaks medium you say fuck that I’m getting mine well done. Because of this I am tempted to come up with my own category of not being dead. For me I think I will say that I am not dead perfect. The brilliance of that is astonishing to me because it hits on so many levels.

At first you start to think that I am not calling myself perfect, but then you realize that maybe I am actually referring to a new level of not being dead. This puts your brain into an endless loop of WTF is this guy really saying making it so I don’t have to say anything else in the conversation. That itself is indeed perfection on a level that no human has attained.

So hello everyone. My name is Paul Scrivens. I stare at floss all day so when I get home I no longer want to floss. This is to let you know that I am not dead perfect.

    Farewell.

    Hi!
Kizzy from LJ. I’m just letting you know that I read your blog. Totally understandable that it’s been two months since your last post, that’s how it goes when you have a new job.

    Anyway, stay safe!

I understand what you mean. I don’t get to blog as often because the fact of the matter is, I usually don’t feel like it. I work on a computer at work myself and sometimes I come home and don’t really feel like spending that time on the computer. I usually turn it on and walk away.

I’m glad to hear everything is going great for you in Atlanta. Maybe someday I can make a brave transition like that myself.
